Solving Pains and Liveability
Singapore is regarded as one of the world's cleanest cities, but also generates a huge amount of garbage. High-rise residential buildings were built with refuse chutes for the convenience of waste disposal. However, there is one problem. The garbage that piled up, reeks of foul smelling gases and food wastes that cause pests infestations. One reason being, food wastes and general wastes are not being segregated upon disposal. The odours and food wastes attract disease-carrying pests like cockroaches and some times even rats. Food waste constitutes 10% of total Carbon emissions. One tonne of food waste produces 5 tons of CO2 along with Methane and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) that pollutes the living environment. Regardless of the rubbish chute design in HDB or condominiums, odours and pests are expected with chute systems. Residents living near chutes suffered from odours and pests with no solution despite complains being made.
Complaints of residents
Methods of waste disposal may have improved over the years, but not the disposal habits. Users would have to hold their breadth when opening the hopper and concurrently looking out for cockroaches trying to crawl out. A hair-raising experience for some. In estate management, the top most complaints are cockroach related, follow by odour issues.
Using nature to fight nature
CRC Plus is an add-on, plug and spray dispensing system that can be installed at the rooftop over the solenoid valve. No rework is required as it uses existing infrastructure like electrical points and water flushing pipes. Designed with IoT, it can be set to automate dispensing the solutions within a scheduled time

Solution 1 – Multi Microbial Deodorant (MMD)

√ Alkaline Degreaser – helps in cleaning the internal circular tube or wall,
√ Repellent – acts as an insect repellent and kills within the chutes like cockroaches, mosquitoes, houseflies and ants. Vermin will avoid too.
√ Fragrance – Lemon grass scented repels pests
There are the upfront costs of a dispenser (CRC+) and installation as CAPEX. We will offer a rental service model to lessen the parts and maintenance ownership issues. The key to this service is the 2 solutions as consumables.

Operation and Application
Remotely scheduled time to spray after meal preparation hours when the food waste disposal is highest. The Alkaline Degreaser is applied 30 minutes to sip in before the water flushing to be most effective to clean the grease formed on the chute walls.
